March 16, 2020 PDC’s current response to the covid 19 pandemic.
In an attempt to support our communities’ efforts to limit the severity of covid 19, we have decided to remain closed for the next two weeks, until Monday, March 30, 2020. This closure may be extended depending on the situation at the time.
All three facilities will be closed, including our Main office at 388 Columbus Ave Ext, the Farrell Center at 392 Columbus Ave. Ext, and our South County office at 924 South Main St Great Barrington, Mass.
We have cancelled all center-based playgroups and therapy appointments, as well as all home visiting to PDC families.
It is important to us to hear from our referral sources and new families interested in our services, so please do continue to call our Main office at 413-499-4537. If you’d like to refer a child, please leave your name, the child’s name and date of birth, and a number where we can reach you. We will be checking our messages regularly and will respond as soon as we can.
For anyone who has already purchased tickets for PDC Night Out originally scheduled for April 2, 2020, please get in touch through email at email@example.com to request a refund.
We will continue to provide updates on the PDC website and via Facebook.
Please be safe and be well.
All the best to you and yours,Maureen Atwood, Executive Directorand the PDC Staff and Board
The Pediatric Development Center (PDC) is an early intervention program serving infants and toddlers in Central Berkshire and South Berkshire Counties.
“Our son had difficulty handling his emotions and was acting out behaviorally at home and at his daycare. PDC brought a small team into our home to work with us and develop a solid and consistent behavioral change program for him and us. Their consistency in coming to our home was a big part of our success in helping our son make changes to better cope with his world. When we hit a barrier, Diane and Cate would modify the plan and come up with creative ways to make it work for him specifically. They really are specialists in this field. We’re so grateful to our PDC Therapists for helping our son cope with his sensitivities. We couldn’t have done it without you!”
